Creating a safety net for those with post-traumatic stress

Usually a person will experience complete relief from the effects of past trauma on their minds and lives through Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), also called tapping or EFT tapping.

Too often, however, especially for military veterans and domestic violence victims, EFT helps alleviate the symptoms of acute traumatic stress they are experiencing, but in doing so uncovers other challenges, leaving them to cope with underlying issues they may not have the ability or skill to overcome.

“We're looking at relieving the effects of traumatic stress, but we also want to make sure that what's left is handled.”

–Wayne Tuttle, Founder, The Tapping Hotline

What’s needed is access to safety nets that catch them, helping them gain the life skills that will complement their EFT training and allow them to function more fully in their lives.

These resources are a start. Please contact the Tapping Hotline team to share resources that have been of help to you, your loved one, or your clients.

“After several years of painful and debilitating muscle, shoulder and hip discomfort, the best a rheumatologist could come up with was polymyalgia and a prescription for prednisone, a drug I had no interest in taking. I had met Wayne socially and he offered to guide me through EFT to address what I was experiencing so we began and rather quickly. I was having much less pain, especially with my shoulder, after the EFT session.

“Recently, I asked Wayne to help me with my oral fixation. I was a heavy cigarette smoker for about 30 years and managed to quit. But 25 years later, I still found myself reaching for something to chew, something to drink, something to put in my mouth. We spent one session together going through Wayne’s process and the following day I noticed that my compulsion had abated and after a number of weeks, is still holding up.”
